Common cold is a infectious disease that can be transferred by air, water, touch. Cold is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract. Common cold is mainly caused by rhinovirus. It can be caused by other viruses known as Coronavirus, influenza viruses, adenoviruses, human parainfluenza viruses, human respiratory syncytial virus, enteroviruses.

In rare cases more than one viruses are present. Many people think that cold will caused due to cool temperature. But colds are only caused by viruses but not by cold temperatures.

Home Remedies:
Steam: Steam helps relief from stuffiness. Take a bowl of water add little turmeric and eucalyptus oil to it. Now take a blanket that covers you completely and bowl under your face. So that you can have a warm breath for sometime.

Hair Dryer: Take hair dryer in warm temperature near your nose. So that you can feel warm air. This warm air kill the virus that causes cold.

Garlic: Garlic is very good for health and it also improves your health immune system. Have some garlic soup when you have cold. When you cook rice and it cooked fully put garlic cloves inserted into cooked rice that is very hot this is also a good remedy.

Onion: Take onion half cut and put it right beside your head. Onion takes bacteria from your nose part. This gives you relief. In the morning you can see the onion dark in color.

Honey: Have a table spoon of honey everyday so that it reduces sinuses effect. Even taking a spoon of honey in the morning is very good for health.

Sleep: When you are suffering from cold sleep for long time that reduces your cold. Moreover take a thick blanket and cover you fully now go to sleep for sometime. This works for me many times.
